Theale Green is thriving and successful 11-18 comprehensive school with around 1400 students situated in the village of Theale, just off the M4 to the west of Reading.
We are a specialist school for arts and science. This means that we excel in art, music, drama and dance and offer a wide-ranging programme of performances and community arts activities. However, our excellence is in no way restricted to the arts subjects. We also offer a broad range of excellent science courses. We take our responsibility as a comprehensive school very seriously and strive to meet the needs of all our students whatever their ability, talents or interests.
We recognise that all our students are different and we value each and every one of them equally. We have an excellent Learning Support Unit which caters for students with physical or learning difficulties. Our work with Gifted and Talented students has received national recognition. We are also very proud to host the West Berkshire resource for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders as an integral part of our school.
Theale Green has a strong reputation for high academic standards and outstanding teaching. We enjoy excellent facilities and offer an exceptionally wide range of learning opportunities within the curriculum and as extra-curricular activities.
We pride ourselves in the care we take of individual students. Our unique house system creates a friendly and supportive environment in which each young person can develop academically, personally and socially, growing in confidence and awareness of others.
