Arts Week-Drama

Year 7 was led by Chris Garner. She  worked with storyteller Isibor Rochester and also explored the culture and lifestyle of Kenya with Mr. Lewis, who brought many slides and artefacts to share with the students.

Year 8 was led by Sally Pocock 9 (recently appointed to the school's Drama Department) and Rachel Gaunt. Sally, who trained at Dartington College of the Arts, brought a wealth of knowledge and drama strategies, having herself followed a course on African Drama and culture.

Year 9 was led by Allan Lindsay, who worked with Ayo Adekale from Sierra Leone on a wide variety of areas. These included African costume, story-telling   and,  perhaps of most importance, a new perspective on many issues concerning the African continent as a whole. Workshops dealing with racism and attitudes to third world debt also proved very exciting.
