COMPULSORY INDUCTION ICT HOMEWORK

Your homework is to write a letter about yourself and email it to your English teacher.

You could do this in two different ways:

1. Write a letter in Word using the proper letter layout, using Times New Roman font size 12, or Arial font size 10 (check the English departments WP guidelines)

• Write the letter clearly,
• Go to File on the toolbar
• Select Send and then Mail as Attachment
• Enter your teachers address in the Outlook Express box which should appear
• In the Subject box write your full name and ‘Induction Letter’
• Click on Send

OR

2. Write the letter in Word and save it into your file using a clear title, e.g. Joe Bloggs 7a letter

• Using your generic email address (Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, etc) select Compose
• Enter your teacher’s email address in the 'To' box
• In the Subject box write your full name and ‘Induction Letter’
• Click on Add or Edit Attachments and find your letter.
• Add the letter and email it to your teacher clicking on Send

DON'T FORGET TO KEEP A COPY OF YOUR WORK ON DISK!
