Twelfth Night Photos

This is a very important year! At the end of the year you will sit a SATs examination. In the meantime you could have a look at a couple of the websites which may help you through the some of the aspects of the Shakespeare paper - many of you will be studying, 'Twelfth Night' which is one of the William Shakespeare’s most delightful comedies.

Reading: read a range of non fiction of a discursive nature

Writing: write about discursive texts using analytical language

S&L: compare different points of view that have been expressed, identifying and evaluating differences and similarities, considering bias, viewpoint and emotive language

 

Reading: theme linked Pre and post C20th poetry and short story

Writing: comparative and discursive analysis of poetry and short story

S&L: Presentation of poem. Identifying and analysing underlying themes and implications

Reading: whole class study of a Shakespeare play and reading texts for understanding

Reading: revise non fiction texts to further develop reading for meaning

Writing: Close analysis of set scenes both in role and directing. Practice exam essay responses.

Writing: practice of Section C on SATs paper

S&L: develop and compare interpretations of scenes

S&L: use Standard English to explore, explain and justify, incorporating questioning and interview skills, i.e. court trial.
