It was a busy final term in Hunt House which started with our two Induction Evenings, where we welcomed our new students and their parents to the house. This was followed by an action packed Induction day in school for all of the new students and we now look forward to them joining us full time in September.
Sports Day: Well done to everybody who represented Hunt in our annual Sports Days. Due to consistent representation in all races and some excellent individual performances Hunt regained the Sports Day Goodhall Trophy for 2009.
New Intake BBQ: On Thursday 2nd June in conjunction with Benyon house we held our second New Intake BBQ. The heat wave made for a warm event in which we welcomed over 150 students and parents. It was a good evening – finished with a very ‘competitive’ game of rounder’s. We’d like to thank all the Sixth Form Students, PTA Members, and staff who came along to support the event.
Hunt House PTA: Our PTA is thriving and I would like to take the opportunity to thank everybody on our PTA Committee for their help and assistance over the year. If you would like to get involved and support us next year our first meeting will be held on Tuesday 8th September 2009 at 7.00pm in E6.
Prefects: Our new prefect team have settled into their new roles extremely well and have been invaluable with their help organising Year 6 Induction and Sports Day. We thank them for all their hard work and support as they make a real difference.
Tutor Team: Thank you, too, to all our Hunt House tutors, who have worked so hard this year. Our Congratulations go to Mrs McManus on the safe arrival of her second child. Mrs Parslow and Miss Birch have done a fantastic job with 9HC this term but are sadly leaving Hunt House. We wish Mrs Parslow well in her new job at Kennet School and wish Miss Birch all the best with her new tutor group in Piper house.
