NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION.

Theale Green Community School held its Nationally acclaimed annual Design & Technology Exhibition. The exhibition celebrates the successes of students who have consistently achieved high standards of work over the year. The department has always found this exhibition to be a great encouragement and an incentive to students, many of which have used this exhibition as a springboard to greater things.

This year the Co-ordinator of Technology Education Mr Simon Badcock was announced the Dyson Design and technology Teacher of the Year for his outstanding work in Design and Technology.

At ‘A’ Level, Hayley Appleton, Neil Szegota, Mariah Nagaria, Louise and Becky Fuller all continued to meet the high standards of ‘A’ Level Design work. Mariah Nagaria has won this year’s Technology Cup for best overall ‘A’ Level Project.

Neil Szegota’s Carapace Chair has reached the final of a major American Computer Aided Design competition run by the company PTC, who are sponsors of the CADCAM Initiative.

At GCSE, Kim Tucker, Caroline Gardner, David Lee, Tara Wilson, William Adcock, Rhianon Stevens all produced projects of excellent quality, with David Lee winning the Design and Technology cup for best overall GCSE project.

This is to mention but a few. Congratulations must go to all the students whose work has been displayed this year.
