MUSIC TECHNOLOGY AT THEALE GREEN COMMUNITY SCHOOL.

 

Theale Green is very proud of its recording studio and music computer facilities. The recording studio comprises a 16 track mixing desk, digital 8 track hard disc recorder and DAT mastering. The studio has recently been re-wired, complete with a new patch bay.

The studio also contains one of the departments 12 PCs which run Musicator software, an integrated sequencing and score publishing package. The facilities are regularly used by students in year 10 and 11 GCSE groups as well as A' level Music and Music Technology sets in years 12 and 13.

All GCSE students are being entered for the NDTEF IT Certification in Music. Key stage 3 classes are also being given experience of music technology.
