Theale Green year 7 student Helen recently competed in the National Synchronised Swimming Championships for Reading Royals and achieved two excellent placings.
In the 12 years and under category Helen finished 20th out of 60 competitors in the Individual Figures competition.
In the Team Event the Royals finished 2nd by only 0.1 mark!
Helen feels that she could have performed better on the day but that her nerves got the better of her!
She has been a member of Reading Royals for 2 years now and trains 7 days per week, much of which is between 6.30am-7.30am at Central Pool in Reading.
She trains under the direction of the Club Coach and is very keen to improve her performances.
This recent success she says has, "..made me less nervous and more confident towards my sport but also in other things too".
