Mock Court Trial Competition Congratulations to this year's Mock Court Trial team who have battled their way through to the Berkshire heats and Finals to reach the National Finals for the third year in succession. Good luck in Cardiff on May 19th, and let’s hope that the F.A. Cup will not be the only cup returning from Cardiff to England. Sailing Club After school sailing starts again on Thursdays 3.30—6.00 pm during the summer term. Boys and girls of all year groups are welcome. This is an ideal opportunity to get RYA certificates before the summer holidays. Contact Mr Jennings for more details.
Help the Environment Spring has sprung at last! Time to get fit and help the environment too. Reduce congestion and pollution by cycling to school and work. Up to 20% of journeys including the ‘school run’ and half of our journeys are less than 5 miles, an easy distance to cycle.

The school has a locked cycle
pen and many routes to Theale have designated ‘safe cycle routes’.
Please let me know of any safe cycle routes to school or leisure rides
you use so that we can spread the news.
Mr. Jennings
Red Nose Day There was an air of excitement and expectation at Theale Green Community School on Red Nose Day this year. A lot of the sixth form had made cakes and many other students and staff had brought in cakes and biscuits to be sold, so at breaktime there was the largest ever cake sale in the school hall. This was followed at lunchtime by certain sixth form boys agreeing to have their legs waxed, in front of an ever growing audience. But the climax to the day was when six brave members of staff Mr Sizer, Mr Carter, Mr Dudin, Mr Blinco, Mr Swindles and Mr Jenkins followed these boys by having their heads shaved! A lot of support was given to all these people and over £702 was raised for Comic Relief. Thank you and well done to everyone involved. Look at the video here. Mrs. Martin Second-hand uniform Please remember that Scott House runs the second-hand uniform shop. Ring Mr Rattew for details. We have lots of good quality stock, but we are always looking for more. Perhaps parents of Year 11 students could send in any good quality items after the exams.
