It’s our biggest team ever, reflecting the commitment of our students to supporting House and School. I look forward to working with them and congratulate them on their success. I would also like to thank the outgoing team for their hard work and support. Four students in year 12 deserve special mention, after winning academic prizes awarded by Scott P.T.A for their excellent G.C.S.E results last Summer. Cheryl Davies and Tim Christopher gained the best results in the House, and Rhianon Stevens and Tim McCourt gained excellent results showing real improvement and endeavour over the final year. Very well done! We have ended the Spring Term with our final assembly, where we awarded prizes and certificates to over 100 Scott students. Well done to all our prize winners. Check out the details on the Scott House website. We are presently preparing for what we hope will be the really big event involving all 4 Houses: Quiz Evening on June 29th. I hope you will be able to join us on this occasion. Get your teams ready now! Finally, we have been pleased to donate £233 this term, from our House Evening proceeds, to the Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading, which cares for cancer patients.

Hunt House
In the spring we said farewell to Miss Kemp tutor 8HA who has left us to persue a career in the theatre, she will be missed. At the end of the spring term we held a Celebration Assembly to award prizes and certificates to those pupils who have worked hard and shown outstanding achievement. Upper school students were awarded Commendations in recognition for their hard work. We were pleased to hand out twenty Certificates. Rayah Merrick and Micheal Kay won the individual Year 9 Credit Competition with over 20 Credits each, 9HA took the tutor group prize with 121 credits for the term. Year 7 & 8 Merit competitions were won by Harriet Holmes-Vaughan, Craig Collins, Stuart Tormey, Sonja Tarte-Booth, Louise Cook and Leonie Wigmore, they were each presented with an Easter Egg for their efforts. All Year 12 students were invited to apply to become Prefects for Hunt House. We had a record number of applications. Anne Oldroyd was appointed Deputy Head Girl for the school and House Captain for Hunt House. Stephen Martin was also selected to be House Captain for Hunt House. The Senior Prefect and Prefect Team supporting them are: Craig McEachern, Ben Champion, Lucy Edwards, Abigail Knipe, Claire Burslem, Claire Stroud (Games Captain), Gary Heath (Games Captain), Adam Marcham (Games Captain), Dawfydd Williams, James Hearn, Katy Philips, Chris Mead, Helen Sexton, Ryan Swann and Jamie Steele. Thanks were also given to the outgoing Prefect team who have had an excellent term in office; they organised successful, charity fund raising and sports teams. We all wish them well in their coming exams and every success in their chosen careers. Finally we have a number of events coming up in the summer term that we hope Hunt parents will be able to support. A Joint PTA Quiz night has been organised for June so start thinking about making up a table and joining in what promises to be the Event of the Year. More details can be found in the Hunt House section of the school web site.
