Sharon Wood, the resident Trampoline Coach at Theale Green, has recently been appointed as National Squad Coach to the Great Britain Youth Team. Sharon has been coaching Theale Green students for several years now and has helped develop a steady stream of good class trampolinists. Several of these recently attended the National Schools Trampolining Finals in Newcastle upon Tyne where they performed creditably.

To reach the finals, the team of Leigh Sheppard, Nick Stevens, Chris Partington and Craig Stuit had worked hard on their routines for the last few months and qualified via the Regional and Zonal rounds earlier this year.

Sharon said she is "Very proud of the way the boys conducted themselves both on and off the trampoline during the Finals performance".

To show their gratitude and to congratulate Sharon on her new appointment, the squad presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
