Summary of parents’ and carers’ responses

The views of the twenty-three parents who attended the meeting, the four hundred and fifty who responded to the questionnaire, and the fifty-five who sent letters to the registered inspector, are overwhelmingly positive about the quality of education and care given to their sons and daughters, the standards they are achieving and the progress they are making, and above all about the attitudes the school seeks to develop and how it helps build students’ confidence.

Although some parents voiced individual criticisms, no aspect of the school came in for frequent criticism. Several parents did, however, comment on a lack of information on how well their sons and daughters are getting on, including some criticism of the organisation of parents’ evenings.
